Welcome to February!
The shortest month of the year and with it comes the much anticipated SuperBowl that was held last night with Patriots beating the Seahawks. It is Groundhog day today, celebrated every year on February 2nd in both the United States and Canada. The folklore states that on February 2nd if a groundhog emerges from his hole and fails to see his shadow, he will leave his burrow - signifying that winter will end soon. If the Groundhog does see his shadow he will retreat down into his burrow, and winter will last for another 6 weeks!
Valentines day is fast approaching on the 14th, of course! A gentle reminder for those who like tend to leave things until the last minute... you have been warned!
It is an exciting month for us too. We tend to have lot's of new starters in January and sessions begin to settle now that new starters have began to understand the routine. It's always a fun month because our coaches up and down the country begin to challenge the children that little bit more.
It's only a short month, but a month that is rammed packed full of fun! We hope you have a good one.
